What Causes Diarrhea And Anal Itching?

Hey Doc(s) About 10 months ago I started getting sick everyday, night, etc. I would have diarrhea all day, anywhere from 4 movements to 12 movements a day and had no idea why. I felt like there was a huge weight on my shoulder and felt depressed and I couldn t wake up , just a groggy feeling all day. I just thought I hated my job, in which I quit that job and the symptoms continued or worsened. I moved back to my home town, saw my doctor and he told me to not eat dairy (how can I form a dairy intolerance out of the blue I thought, but I listened) It somewhat helped for awhile and I was true and still true to this non-dairy diet but I am still getting sick everyday. It has gotten so bad that I have had hemorrhoids constantly, I feel week or dehydrated, and I am not really active as I once was, I don t want to move around. I ve lost about 20 pounds, I feel hot alot, my ears turn purple randomly and I feel like I am going to explode. To go along with the hemorrhoids, I itch in my anus, and can t really sleep a night which is probably why I am always tired. I randomly have chest pains, back pains and when I sit for too long my right side of my lower back hurts so bad I have to stand up and stretch and can t really move, it happens more frequently when I drive over 2 hours. I urinate frequently and sometimes it is painful. And lastly, I feel like I lose my mind or see things, I forget things, I am nice for a week and then mean the other week which is not me at all. What do you suggest?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
welcome to health care magic. I really appreciate your concern.

Looking at your description I would advise you to consult your family physician or GP for physical examination, recording of blood pressure and battery of tests like blood for hemoglobin, CBC, liver function test, blood sugar, thyroid function test and stool test for occult blood

Weight loss is a matter of concern and it warrnats detailed evaluation to find out underlying cause.

itching in perianal area might be related to hemorrhoids, fissure in Ano, or gluteal or perianal abscess.

In my opinion you should see doctor immediately before it aggravates further.
Meanwhile avoid constipation by taking laxative or stool softeners
Have lots of fresh fruits and vegetables or dietary fiber in your diet.
you can use anaesthetic ointment like lignocaine for itching.
Multivitamin and calcium supplements are advisable.
Hope this answers your question.
Best wishes
