What Causes Diarrhea And Vomiting?

My daughter, a few years ago, was told that she had colitis after a test was run. She had another test just about three weeks ago saying she does not have colitis just stomach and nerves causing her diarrhea problems. She is now vomiting and constant bathroom trips. She is starting to feel lousy, and very tired what should she do now? Doctors seem to look at her and shroud there shoulders at her.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your daughter who was diagnosed to have colitis in past and the recent report says it is not there, Now has vomiting and diarrhea, feeling lousy, very tired.
I would advise her the following:
To send the sample of stood daily for 3 consecutive days, this may be the deciding factor in further treatment.
Tests of blood: CBC, culture and sensitivity helps a lot, liver, thyroid and kidney function tests.
Ultrasound of the whole abdomen, CT scan to confirm.
If all the reports are normal, she needs to be treated on the lines o IBS; if the reports say infection then she needs a course of an antibiotic, probiotic, anti-emetic as she is vomiting, A PPI and antacid, activated charcoal tablets and symptomatic treatment as per the need be.
She may need intravenous fluid and electrolyte replacement.
