Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Diarrhea Followed By Blood In Stools With Burning?
I recently quit drinking, I dealt with the vomiting on day one felt better day two and had normal stool. On the third day I felt good enough to eat normal food and normal amount. I ve had nothing but water to drink in 3 days. I even worked out. However, my morning stool was a little firm but no issue, as the day went on I got diarrhea, but no stomach pains just a slightly sore butt. After I worked out, I went again and there was a few bright red dots for 1 or 2 wipes then nothing, and this bathroom session burned. Should I be concerned or is that normal for recovery. I ve gotten several opinions most said see how it is tomorrow.
Hi, Thanks for writing your query. After reading your post, it seems that you might be having infection of the gastrointestinal tract and needs medical management. I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined and investigated by your doctor. A stool examination will be helpful. You may need an antibiotic along with antiamoebic and antacid like Omeprazole 40mg and an antiemetic. A probiotic will have added benefits. I hope this is helpful to you. Thanks.
