What Causes Diarrhea, Pain In Abdomen And Cramps In Child?
My son is 6 1/2. He has had bright orange slimy diarrhea for 2 days now with pain in his right upper abdomen, mid upper abdomen, and general stomach cramps. He has not vomited or had a fever. He is eating and drinking and I can t think of any other symptoms. I will be calling his pediatrician in the morning if this persists. Any ideas of what this may be?

Hi...by what you quote it could be a viral diarrhea and if he is drinking water and fluids well and is voiding well you need not worry. Activity of the kid is more important than number of stools or color. But orange color could be due to food he has ingested in the past 72 hours if you could remember any.
