General & Family Physician 's  Response
welcome to hcm,
unable to control your urination and difficult initiation of urination are symptoms of urinary tract infection. but for you it is because of tricyclic-antidepressant medications like nortripline which acts on your urinary tract and cause the urinary sphincter to malfunction. hope you consult with your treating physician and he may change the drug or reduce its dosage.
hope this explains
with regards
Dr.Amarnath
