What Causes Difficulty In Bowel Movement And Chest Pain ?
hi i went to the toilet earlier on today and i tried to well poop and i couldnt because i got a sharp pain in my chets basically it was too big for my back passage i had to alleviate it and well use my finger to remove it myself because i couldnt do it the normal way
Hard stool or need to remove the stool by using finger and chest pain while passing stool can be due to the following reasons: • Chest pain being due to muscle strain or costochondritis as one has to strain so hard. • The difficulty in passing stool can be due to very hard stool or anal sphincter tightening or stenosis or some nerve problem.
This can be diagnosed by the following: • Consult a general surgeon or a proctologist and get per-rectal digital examination, anoproctoscopy and get an appointment for colonoscopy. • If neurological problem is seen then you may need an MRI of the lower spine, evaluation by a neurologist.
The treatment will obviously depend upon the cause thus found. Till then take a laxative, try anal enema. Avoid the foods that cause constipation. Increase fiber intake in diet and also can take supplements of fibers.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
