What Causes Difficulty In Having A Sexual Intercourse?

I had cervical ca & subsequent removal of cervix & uterus & top portion of vagina & then later both ovaries. This was all done in my 20s. I am now in my 50s and intercourse has always been very difficult. Rarely if ever do I ever orgasm with intercourse. Could those surgeries be causing the problem?
