What Causes Difficulty In Passing Urine After An Accident?

My 8 year old son was skateboarding and fell and hit cement pretty hard. It knocked the breath out of him for a few. Now he has a couple of bruises but my question is: this morning he says since I fell it hurts to pee. Would those 2 instances be related?
