What Causes Difficulty In Passing Urine?
My husband has difficulty making it to the restroom when he has to urinate. He describes it as having to go really really bad all of a sudden and has to sprint to the bathroom to avoid an accident. He claims it is not painful or extremely frequent so I know I can rule out a UTI, can you help?

Hello
Difficulty in passing urine may be due to many causes like enlarged prostate,UTI,calculus in genito-urinary tract etc.
Your husband need proper clinical examination and investigations.
Investigations include routine hemogram,random blood sugar,renal function test,urine RE/ME,ultrasound of abdomen.
Ultrasound is very helpful and it can exclude many causes.
Further medicines and investigations depend upon above findings.
