Hello,

As mentioned in the history about the inabilities of the thumb to function I feel this should be related to the ligaments and muscles of the thumb to provide the desired output.

if there is any pain it could be related to trigger thumb. for this having a physical examination by the orthopedist will be of the good.

But in case if the pain is not present then it will be related to Higher motor functions of the brain. For this, you need to get this examined by the neurologist.

I feel you need to take up the call for which is the possible cause so that the precise diagnosis can be made.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
