What Causes Difficulty In Urination After A Colonoscopy?

just had a colonoscopy under general anesthesia today. now am not able to urinate. Feel like i need to void. getting a little uncomfortable. Some bladder distention noted. Have had difficulty urinating after surgery before but had epidurat. so no surprise there. procedure at 930. recieved 50 propofal, reglan, decadron, fentanyl, zofran, and pepcid. last 2 meds were preo Lma. masked down for iv placement because im a woose! sp? and work at the surgery center.

take a fast acting alpha blocker like Silodosin 8mg if not contraindicated and see that you do not go in urinary retention (dribbling overflow incontinence) in which case need of catheterization for 2 days.
