What Causes Discomfort During Urination Along With Frequent Urination?

I have been experiencing symptoms of a urinary tract infection for a few months (since April). The pain isn t too bad, just a slight twinge when I urinate, but the urgency and frequency are becoming an annoyance. My obgyn did a dip test in my urine a few weeks ago and it was clear so she sent me to have a blood test, which was also clear. What else could be causing those same symptoms if not an infection?
