What Causes Discomfort In The Throat After A Tonsillectomy?

Yes I had tonsillectomy back in 2005 and hemorrhaged. I have this constant feeling of extra tissue in throat and the last year and a half sleep apnea. I have been to 3 ENT s and have had cat scan and swallow study and I have heard everything from it bring foreign tissue to it being ligual tonsils, uvula too long, reflux etc etc. I know this tissue is causing my sleep issue but all Doctors telling me I need a sleep study but I really don t want to wear a Cpap if it s as simple as extra tissue that could be lasered

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The discomfort is due to lingual tonsil only and the same can be lasered out without the need of CPAP study.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
