What Causes Discomfort Under The Ribs?

Good afternoon! I have been having discomfort under and behind my front ribs. I have a very full feeling but have not had big meals. I am a 79 year old diabetic with a history of heart issues, which caused 2 triple by-pass surgeries. Both parent died of cancer - mom pancreatic, dad stomach. I have lost several pounds in the past few weeks. What s up?

Hi,

If you do have the cardiac elements then it is better to rule out the possibility of angina, and for that you need to get done the EKG.

Till then, symptoms can be managed for acid peptic disease, and for that I would advise you to have tablet Rabeprazole with Domperidone. Consult your physician for prescription.

Anxiety and depression may be the cause too, loosing of weight could be due to some undetected chronic illness, so better to get done the routine medical examination.
