Hello!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that after back surgery you may experience some pain and discomfort in this region.
Besides, healing is a long process. It is not really important if the body heals inside out or the contrary, but you should know that the inflammation in this area may persist for a month.
Physiotherapy is needed to help improve the posture and reinforce the back muscles. I would also recommend avoiding heavy weight lifting.Surgery can not give you a new vertebral column. The chronic degenerations persit. It just helps improve the pain and movements.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Best wishes, Dr. Aida
