What Causes Dizziness After A Head Injury?

My daughter suffer a head injury with fracture to her skull in mid August. Her recovery has been going great with no nausea, dizziness, or headaches. She had return to school and has not complained of any concentration issues. Recently, like a couple of days ago, she has stated that she is having some dizziness that comes and goes, lasts only a few seconds and does not matter whether she is standing or sitting or lying down. I dont know what to make of it given she had been symptom free for couple of months now. Help?

Hi. I'm sorry for what you are going through. My opinion is to discuss your concerns with your daughter's neurosurgeon. This is clearly a very complex case, given the extent of her injuries. The likelihood is that it is nothing of major concern, however, I do not have the full information in order to provide this information definitively. Contact your neurosurgeon directly - I'm sure they will be entirely happy to take your call or else arrange an urgent meeting. I hope this helps.
