What Causes Dizziness After A Head Injury?

I am female,66, fan hit front of face, knocked me back off chair and I hit back of head in two places. went to emergency, they cat scanned and sent me home. Now 2 weeks later whenever I stand up I get so dizzy...i was at doctor 2 days ago, she said takes time to recover....but this dizziness upon standing is bothering me

Dizziness after head injury can be due to a lot of reason.

In your case, the dizziness is after two weeks and you had hit the back of head in two places.

The most common cause is a temporary disturbance in your vestibular system. These are small canals inside your ear which help in maintaining the balance

Don't worry . . .In Most cases This will heal spontaneously in 6 to 8 weeks

So
Your dizziness should go off in two months

But . . . . Before me end, let me ask a question . . How did you fall . .. Did you become dizzy and fall . . . In that case, there is some other reason for dizziness which has to be evaluated
