What Causes Dizziness After Having Food?

Heres one for you , I have checked good ole google and cant find anything , so have eneded up here , ............ This problem started quickly at lunch time last thursday , each time I swallow food , about 4-6 seconds afterwards I feel very light headed and sometimes it seems like I am going to pass out , If I drink water its not so bad , if I drink something fizzy its medium , if I eat a fork full of solid food its very bad . It will also come on to a lesser degree when I am just sitting , When it happens the feeling will last for about 5- 10 seconds , ifs its very strong a bit longer . If I stop eating it will not occur .

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear it may be due to swallowing induced synchope or postprandial hypotension or BPPV etc..

Difficulty in swallowing of solid may be due to achalasia cardia or esophageal spasms etc..

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

you need need to check blood pressure or blood sugar after eating. you may need ecg, upper GI endoscopy etc..

Use tablet vertin 16 mg thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care.
