What Causes Dizziness After Taking Catheter And Antibiotic?

MY DAD HAS RECENTLY GONE TO THE DOCOTOR FOR STOMACH PAIN WHICH RESULTED IN NOT BEING ABLE TO DRAIN HIS BLADDER PROPERLY. IN HIS PAST HE HAS HAD AN ENLARGED PROSTATE. THE DOCTOR GAVE HIM A CATHEDER ( A WEEK AGO THURSDAY, AND THEY DRAINED HIS BLADDER WHILE THERE) YESTERDAY THEY SENT HIM HOME TO CONTINUE DOING THE CATHEDER AND ANTIBIOTIC. TODAY MY DAD IS COMPLAINING OF DIZZINESS... WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF THIS? HE HAS NO APPETIET EITHER.

Hello
Catheter in situ i.e. in urethra ( bladder ) and also taking antibiotics .
When such patient visit my clinic I also put catheter and patient complaints that they are feeling pain and dizziness.
There is no any serious reason , only trauma ( of catheter ) , pain and side effects of antibiotics produces dizziness , loss of appetite and irritation .
Within next 4-5 days , your father will acclimatized this condition .
In my opinion need not to take tension ,just consult your doctor and get his counselling , nothing else.
For dizziness , 1-2 tablet of cinnarazine is sufficient.
Plenty of liquid(juice and water ) will help and ease tension.
I find this answer helpful
