What Causes Dizziness And Fatigue After Recovering From Cold?

I had a very bad head cold with streaming nose and violent sneezes and a temperature of 101.4 five days ago. My doctor prescribed Tamiflu which I ve been taking for two days now, but since I began taking it my cold symptoms have cleared and my temperature is normal but I am experiencing extreme lightheadedness and dizziness and no energy. I am 77 years old.

Hello,

If you had the flu and not just a cold, then it can take your body a few weeks to recover.

However, it would be a good idea to see your doctor for an exam and some blood tests to make sure there is not another cause for your dizziness and loss of energy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kathy Robinson
