What Causes Dizziness And Light Headedness After Cortical Dysphasia Removal?

2 year old had surgery 4 1/2 months ago to remove cortical dyspasia. Switched from Trileptal to Tegretal to be weaned down and has now had a couple of spells where she swallows continually and acts as if maybe she is light headed or dizzy and then falls immediately asleep. These episodes last about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Is this related to switching her meds or from being weaned down?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, Thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion you should withhold the tapering of the drugs and switch back to trileptal. It could be because of switching her medications.
I would suggest you do an EEG for her before taking any further decisions. Kindly consult your treating doctor regarding this.
I hope I have helped you.
Thank you.
