What Causes Dizziness And Shortness Of Breath?

My 92 year old is very dizzy and short of breath. It started about 3 or 4 hours ago. She has had two minor strokes over the last two years. She has COPD (Labetalol), had a broken hip surgically repaired about a year ago, low thyroid, high blood pressure (Losartin), and high cholesterol (Lipitor).

Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Check her BP if it is high or not if high then admit her now for a detailed clinical examination and do one ECG and talk to your Doctor to adjust her medication first.

2)Do take medication for COPD as usual because dizziness is not a sign of COPD and take other medications as usual.

3)Ask your treating Doctor to include iron and Vitamin B complex regularly.

Hope that helps
