What Causes Dizziness And Spinning Feeling?

Dear Doctor, My 7 years old girl has dizziness every night, she feels worse while she closed her eyes to sleep, she just feeling she is sinking, or riding in the see-saw , up and down and spinning around, she is much afraid, the symptoms gone in the day time, comes again at night, can you give me some ideas on her illness?

I went through your details. Without any other corresponding symptoms like pressure on the head, vomiting etc, the complaint by your child could be due to anxiety and associated obsession. Also keep it in mind that she has this trouble only at night and when she lies down and in the process of sleep. Is your child sleeping alone or compelled to sleep alone in the near past? Does she still request for your presence at night? I suggest you to motivate her. You may consult a neurologist for investigation.
