What Causes Dizziness And Tingling Sensation In The Head?

Hello. My husband has had that long lingering cold that everyone seems to have this winter, however for the last 2 days he gets nauseated at the thought of food, goes to the bathroom frequently and today his bowels were mostly water. He is sleeping a great deal of the day, is lightheaded when he stands up and has some tingling in his head.

Hi,

His dizziness and tingling could be due to lost electrolytes in a watery stool. He can have a generalized viral infection. Symptomatic management can be done with a decongestant.

It's advisable to investigate with stool and urine routine microscopic examination as well. Advise him to drink lots of water to maintain hydration. ORS with water also beneficial to replenish lost electrolyte.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
