I think my husband may have acquired methemoglobinemia. We have ruled out cardiac and his symptoms are dizziness, confusion, hypertension, metallic taste in his mouth, confusion, lethargy, urinary retention, and diarrhea. Where should we go next for diagnosis

I really appreciate your concern, whatever the symptoms he has demand the further work-up for correct diagnosis, and it is better to hospitalize him for complete investigation. Endocrine dysfunction could be the cause some time it may be associated with functional elements.
