Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Dizziness, Nausea And Excessive Sweating While Suffering From Pancreatitis?
I have acute pancreatitis that started a little over,1 year ago. I am 67, m, 180 lbs. I do not drink nor smoke. I go to the VA Hospital facility in Miami and they do not know what to give me or what to do other than no food for a few days, put on IV and rest. I hurt on the right side just below center of chest bone, pain wraps to the right side but diminishes as it goes around to my back. I have been vomiting usually 3 to 4 times a day. I cannot eat solid food, dizzy, nauseated and sweating. Food makes me sick. Lipase and amylase are elevated some although they vary. I have been surviving on Boost and Ensure as they seem to stay down but not much more. I have lost about 20lbs. I am looking for a doctor that can help me and give me the medicine that would make me feel better or easier to live. Thank you
Hi, did you ever get your blood glucose checked, especially when your have episodes of dizziness and sweating? I strongly suggest you do that first of. Secondly, have you lost a lot of weight recently? is there any associated fever? I strongly recommend you get some investigations done again like a Total blood count, liver function tests and an ultrasonography of the upper abdomen.
