What Causes Dizziness When Diagnosed With Stage 5 Dementia?

I just got word that my dad had a fainting spell tonight with a blood pressure 70 over 46 and is non responsive. Just a little history: He is in the VA Hospital and has been since July 2016 after a serious car accident. He is 99. They have discovered he is in Stage 5 of Dementia. Only 10% of his heart is working and this has been for the last year according to the doctor. They have told us they don t know what is keeping him alive. They also said, about 2 months ago, his liver and kidneys are starting to fail. I am trying to decide if I need to go home to Mississippi. I live in Arizona. According to what I have told you and is current blood pressure and unresponsiveness, would you recommend I go home if I want to see him before dying. Thank you.

Hello!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!

Your father's clinical situation seems to be critical. Low blood pressure could be related to end stage heart failure, which is leading to kidney and liver failure too.
Coming to this point, he may have only some hours or days of life. It is up to you to decide, if you want to see him alive for the last time.
Hope you will find this information helpful!
Kind regards!
