What Causes Dizziness When Diagnosed With Vertigo?

I have had two random episodes of my eyes suddenly going out of focus causing a slight dizziness. It is different then vertigo or inner ear problems which I have experienced in the past. It feels very weird. I just stand still, not moving and it subsides in 20-30 seconds.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Transient episodes of dizziness can be due to a condition called as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), or transient ischemic attack of posterior circulation (reduced blood flow to the back of brain) or due to seizures. A proper evaluation by a neurologist would help you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
