What Causes Dizziness With Blurred Vision And Loss Of Balance?

Feeling dizzy and I feel like I am going to vomit but not getting sick. My eyes seem like they can t focus... this isn t the first time this has happened it happens quite regularly... I never went to doctor.. I was feeling dizzy and that sometimes my balance is slightly affected. My eyes feel like they aren t focusing properly and that I feel like I am going to get sick but nothing comes up...i have low sugar phase..My eyes aren t focusing on things properly and sometimes things go slightly blurry and once I blink it goes away. Also the other day my hand started shaking so I ate something and it went away but the dizziness was still there.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thank you for posting.

Your symptoms make me think that you suffer from a hypoglycemia(low glucose level, under 70 mg/dl).
When the glucose level is lowered, brain is the first organ that is affected.
This is the reason that you are experiencing dizziness, blurred vision and loss of balance.

To determine the exact diagnosis you need these tests:
1. Glycemic test(on empty stomach).
2. Oral glucose tolerance test(3-4 hours after you eat).

Contact your endocrinologist.

Regards.
Dr. Behar.
