What Causes Dizziness With High BP?

hi i just wanna ask because i got high blood pressure till 150/90 but already went down when they have me medicine to 140/80 but after a few weeks with my new meds now im feeling weak & dizzy again :( i already did my blood, urine & ultrasound & everything was okay. it's only my cea which is 8.4 but doctor said still no need to be alarmed. why i am feeling weak & dizzy again now? thank you

Hi ,
Welcome to Hcm.
Dizziness in your case is mostly related to sudden unnoticed drop in blood pressure frequently associated with your new antihypertensive medications.
This is called "first dose hypotension".
Beginning with lowest dose and then escalating the to desired effect can help to prevent this drug related dizziness.
I suggest you monitor your blood pressure on a periodic basis to avoid hypotension.
Maintain your BP between 110-140/60-90 mmhg.
