What Causes Double Vision While Suffering From Diabetes?
I am 81 yrs old. I had an episode of double vision. It lasted for over a minute. I am diabetic type 2. When I closed one eye the double vision disappeared. No nausea. I had a brief episode a month or two ago that I mentioned to my GP and he sent me for an MRI which was ok except for a few age related things. this second episode lasted longer and my doctor is referring me to a neurologist. What is he looking for? Otherwise I feel fine. AIC 7.9
Hello, Sometimes there is a problem with the nerve conduction being slower in one optic nerve than in the other. This can happen with diabetes, stroke, multiple sclerosis and some other conditions. The neurologist can hopefully sort this out for you. I also suggest that you see an ophthalmologist if you have not already done so. Regards
