What Causes Drowsiness And Slurred Speech While On Lyrica?

My fiancée was recently put on Lyrica for her fibomyalgia. It has made her beyond sleepy as well as keeping her up all night. She is also acting like she is drunk or high. I have read about Lyrica and it says there are symptoms of the drug but she is incoherent at times. Should I be worried or should I take her to the emergency room? I am seriously concerned for her safety as she got up in the middle of the night last night and fell. Is this normal?

Hello
I think your friend is not tolerating lyrica.
There are two options:
1. Either reduce the dose of lyrica
2. Or change to different drug for fibromyalgia like cymbalta.

You can revisit her doctor and discuss these issues.
