I AM TAKING A BATTERY OF HIGH BLOOD MEDICATIONS. I AM A WALKING ZOMBIE. I AM BARELY UP 6 HOURS A DAY, AND THE REST OF THE TIME I AM SLEEPING. I HAVE NO LIFE. I AM TAKING AMLODIPINE, CARVATALOL, CLONIDINE, HYDRALAZINE, AND WARFARIN FOR A DOUBLE PULMONARY EMBOLISM SOME 3 1/2 YEARS AGO. CAN I BE PUT ON SOMETHING THAT DOESN T DRAG ME DOWN. MY E-MAIL ADDRESS IS YYYY@YYYY . I M ABOUT TO GIVE UP ON THE MEDICATIONS, AND LIVE THE TIME I HAVE LEFT IN SOME TYPE OF COMFORT.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You should check your blood pressure and pulse at least three times a day, cause your query may be due to:
1. lower blood pressure due to many drugs you're taking
2. lower heartbeat due to carvedilol dosage
3. due to side effect of clonidine, which stimulates some receptors in brain.
So a visit to your primary doctor is the key. I suggest to check also oxygen saturation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
