What Causes Dry And Numb Mouth Along With Dark Spots On The Tongue?
My mouth is dry and numb now and about a week ago I noticed dark spots on my tongue with 4 or 5 small blister on the back of it. So far I can't find a specialist that takes my insurance, I have read many different things, I am scared of the worst, please help me diagnose my problem. Thank you. Alba

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of dry and numb mouth along with dark spots on the tongue which seems to be due to weakened immune system, certain medicines like antibiotics and dry mouth which leads to deposition of keratin on tongue which further leads to growth of fungus.
Don't panic about it. You should take multivitamin tablet to booster immunity of oral cavity. Maintain proper oral hygiene by brushing, flossing. Use antimicrobial mouth rinse on daily basis. Chew on few drops of lemon or put them in oral cavity to stimulate taste secretions. Avoid intake of sharp and spicy food substances. Use tongue scraper lightly to remove debris and coating on tongue. If symptoms keep son persisting visit oral pathologist once and get it diagnosed by microscopic tissue culture. Doctor may prescribe oral anti fungal medicine for 10-14 days along with antiseptic mouth wash like Listerine and saliva substitute for dry mouth.
