Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I vomited at 5pm today and then continued to dry heave for the next 5.5 hours every 20 minutes. I haven't dry heaved since 1030pm and it is now 12:18am. I am extremely thirsty but am unsure if it is okay for me to drink anything because I do not want to be sick again. Suggestions?
HI Thank for asking to HCM Your concern and query is appreciated, it seems to be allergic condition, hypersensitivity may be the cause, right now the main concern would be vomiting and it needs to be taken care first. If I would be the doctor of this case then I try to treat this condition with Tab Diphenhydramine three times in day, Tab Domperidone 20 mg three times in day for vomiting, it is advisable to have Diphenhydramine first it exert the antiemetic action as well as antihistamine effect too. hope this information helps.
