What Causes Dry Mouth And Irregular Bumps On The Tongue?

I'm concerned about Oral hpv. I had hpv 18 years ago, was treated for warts and had no further incidents. I have recently met a new partner. For 4 months I have had a dry mouth and tongue including my lips. I noticed in the centre of my tongue irregular bumps. After 3 visits to the doc it was swapped - coliform bacteria found and antibiotics taken. I don't notice any improvement regarding the bumps. Also I feel that what I presumed were first ever spots are increasing.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of dry mouth and irregular bumps on the tongue which does not seems to be a symptom of early infection and your mouth is an inhospitable environment for HPV.

Don't panic about it, its all your anxiety. You should take multivitamin tablet to booster immunity of oral cavity. Maintain proper oral hygiene by brushing, flossing. Use antimicrobial mouth rinse on daily basis. Chew on few drops of lemon or put them in oral cavity to stimulate taste secretions. Avoid intake of sharp and spicy food substances. Use tongue scraper lightly to remove debris and coating on tongue. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit oral pathologist once and go for few tests such as PCR, P24 etc to confirm the diagnosis and start treatment accordingly.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
