What Causes Dry, Rough Tongue Along With Painful Bumps?
I m bulimic and my tongue had become rough and dry. I have bumps on the back of my tongue and what seem to be irritated taste buds sticking up. How can I heal my tongue and make these both go away? I know quoting purging is where I need to start, but what else?
Thanks for your query . There can be many reason for dry, rough tongue having painful blister. But the most probable cause in your case is canker sore . Factors which can cause canker sore are stress , hormonal chages ,vitamin deficiency ,food allergy and injury .
Usually they by away by there own . I would suggest you to avoid hot and spicy food ,maintain oral hygiene , hydrogen peroxide gargles mix with equal amount of water.
I condition persist after 5-7 days then consult dentist for proper evaluation and to rule out other cause like lie bump or squamous pappiloma . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
