What Causes Dry Vagina?

Hi, I'm a female 48yrs old, weight 95kgs, I have no serious illness but my problem all of a sudden is a dry virgina. Mynd my boyfriend live together for the last 10yrs. We have a very healthy & honest sex life, of late I discover this unpleasent dryness and it's a totay put off fr both of us. I like to what the cause please.

Hi, thanks for writing..
During the premenopausal period it is quite normal to have vaginal dryness. So get a vaginal swab test to confirm that you dont have any infection.. If there is infection,get it treated.. If no infection, include food rich in phytoestrogen like oats, grapes, beans, leafy veg etc.. Application of estrogen creams enhance lubrication.. Prior to intercourse KY jelly can be applied..
