What Causes Dryness, Itching And Redness On The Face After Using Benzoyl Peroxide?
Hi Sir I had contact dermatitis after applying Benzoyl peroxide on my whole face aprx. 3 months ago. Since then my face is red, very dry and itchy, and also get rashes. I tried Tenovate Clobetasone Cream for 3-4 days, which didnt help me at all but caused clogged pores. And Since last 2 months I have been applying Mometasone Furoate cream (4 times in a week) on my face but it is not giving full benefit, and my face is still very dry, itchy and red and as soon as I stop using this cream, rashes reappear. Please suggest any remedy Thanks a lot

The symptoms seem to be related to contact dermatitis. I suggest using Hydrocortisone cream for local application. I also suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily. I suggest to maintain a good hygiene and use a gentle soap.
