What Causes Dull Ache In Neck Between Jaw And Collar Bone?

I keep having a dull ache in my neck one day it will be on the right and the next time it will be on the left. the ache is between my jaw bone and my collar bone. and sometimes if I couch really hard I have a sharp pain in the same area. it feels like my veins are going to explode? is this something to worry about?
