Hi and thank you My elder mother suffers quite frequently from this incident which food or drink goes the wrong way and she has the hardest time to breath She is almost begging for air Almost seems to me har her lungs are jammed and failing her Please help me Thank you do much
The possibility of she may be developed aspiration. Other possibilities that may aggravate the condition is vocal cords palsy or laryngitis or diverticulum or acid reflux disease etc.
So backrest, little quantity of food with minimal amount may useful. If not possible feedthrough ryles tube. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
