Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Enlarged Prostate In An Elderly Person?
Dr. Rynne, I am 87, and I just completed an annual physical in which I found out that I am in excellent health, and with no problem with kidneys. I do have enlarged prostate not bad enough to require medication.
I have days when my nerves are shot, and on those days, I pee almost every hour. I call'm pee days. My question is, will Tylenol calm my nerves, and maybe slow down the frequent peeing.
Hello, Tylenol is probably not going to help. Enlarged prostates and anxiety can both cause frequent urination. You may want to ask your doctor to reconsider and give you a medication to decrease the size of your prostate and help with this problem. Regards
