What Causes Episodes Of Severe Cramping Under My Right Rib?

Hi, I often get severe cramping under my right rib, it is clearly visible and almost like a rib is popping out of my rib cage. It happens when I am at rest and I have to arch my back to releive the cramp due to the intense pain. What could be causing this? and what can be done to stop it? if anything..

Hi,

This type of cramping is peculiar after muscle overuse, muscle present at this site is external oblique and transversus abdominis. You need to look for the activity that is causing that overuse. You have two ways to control it either you strengthen that muscle by exercising or limit busting the muscle.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
