What Causes Erectile Dysfunction While On A Cardiac Stent?

I am 65 years old and I am on hypertension medication. I had a heart attack about 18 months ago and I had a stint placed in one of my arteries. I am otherwise in good shape and immediately following my heart attack my performance in bed was wonderful. I am now having very slow ejaculation and trouble getting a hard erection?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your concern is very right , though the problem may be because of the heart disease it self but certain cardiac drugs can cause male problems specially beta blocker which are commonly prescribed after heart attack, so talk to your cardialogist regarding this concern , so that he once confirms the problem may come up with a solution to it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
