Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been sleeping excessively. 3 days in the past 2 weeks I have gone to bed at 11pm and slept until 3pm the next day. I am still exhausted when I wake up. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2015. I had chemo, surgery and radiation. I am currently on a hormone blocker pill. I also have hypothryroidism and currently take armour thyroid. I have never been this fatigued before. My other concern is that for the past 2 months or so I have had blood in my stool everytime I use the restroom. I have also had a constant cold like symptoms since October and no one can figure out what is going on. I have been to an ENT, had a CT scan, allergy testing, been tested for the flu, mono, strep, and nothing has come back that I have anything.
The possible causes are- 1. Anemia 2. Hypothyroidism with insufficient dosage. 3. Secondary infection in the lungs or urine or abdomen etcetera. 4. Electrolyte imbalance etcetera. Until examination, is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
