What Causes Excessive Thirst And Frequent Urination?

Hi, I am constantly thirsty and urinate all the time. I can't sleep at night because I go to the toilet about 4,5 times while I'm in bed, and then when I wake up I am bursting in the morning. does anyone have any ideas what it could be? in the past I have drank a lot of alcohol but not at the moment.
