What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge Before Periods?

Hey. Recently, right after my period I believe I had or maybe still have a yeast infection. The intense itching, burning when I scratch my vagina, white cottage cheese discharge with no smell, & my vagina was even red. I used the three step monistat treatment. My pee came out dark yellow & cloudy looking. Now all the symptoms seems to be gone. It s been 8 days since it happened. Which it started last weekend. The only thing I m experiencing now is on & off discharge. Which was milky white a day ago & now it s creamy white. It never has a smell though. I have no vagina odor at all. That s the only thing. My period will be coming on within 11 days. I know discharge comes before your period. But what do you think it is ?

Hi,

The excessive vaginal discharge if not associated with foul smell or itchiness or bleeding then it can be normal and also due to the hormonal changes associated with periods. May not be worrisome.
