Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

Generally, the possibility of missing any pathology in an affected region by MRI scan is unlikely. If MRI scan could not detect any abnormality in an affected area, then it can be taken granted that there is no serious problem in that area.

Anyway, one cannot totally rely on MRI scans, as clinical examination alone (at times) will throw light on some underlying problems.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
