What Causes Extreme Dryness, Burning In Mouth And Severe Diarrhea?

In May, my dental hygenist said I have an extremely dry mouth. Now, in September, it is waking me with burning in my mouth. I am getting up and melting chipped ice in my mouth for comfort. Also, I have now come up with an extreme diarhea 4 to 5 times in 30 minutes with heavy stools. So far, Immodium will stop it. But it occurred again after 2 days. What should I do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of extreme dryness,burning in mouth and severe diarrhea. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like
- food intolerance
- food allergy
- burning mouth syndrome
- bacterial or viral infection
- parasitic infection
- inflammatory bowel disease.

Need not to worry. You should take plenty of fluids. You should take banana daily. Take probiotics in diet such as yoghurt. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ornidazole , albendazole , omeprazole along with loperamide. You should avoid intake of outside of food. For now eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana .
