What Causes Extreme Fear In A Toddler?

My 5 month grand daughter has developed so strange fears...cries when she is put down, screams at loud noises and being left in a room by herself...and refuses to be put on tummy. I m afraid she will never craw. Are these things normal? Thought this was a free site never mind
